Joel Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlí Garcia in the 33rd minute of play. Gonçalo Lobo took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Primitivo Sadurni. Primitivo Sadurni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Primitivo Sadurni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cássio Madeira in the 39th minute. Yo Soy Tu Padre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garanhão do SUL the free kick. Yo Soy Tu Padre's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gonçalo Lobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Sadurni having to interfere.
