The shot was a little too simple and Primitivo Sadurni could save by the left post. A collision led to Yo Soy Tu Padre getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Fermin Jenaro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlí Garcia in the 20th minute of play forced Toronto United's goalkeeper William Nance to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Nance made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bianco Garcia in the 23rd minute of play. Primitivo Sadurni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hayden Laframboise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Rolf Leslie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Sadurni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolf Leslie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Sadurni having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Rolf Leslie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Toronto United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yo Soy Tu Padre the free kick. Rolf Leslie hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. A collision led to Toronto United getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Brandon Short hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Yo Soy Tu Padre's goalkeeper Primitivo Sadurni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Carey. After 40 minutes of play Toronto United's Brandon Short was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Toronto United getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Brandon Short hit a great ball. When Domingos Amaya came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Yo Soy Tu Padre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Amaya couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Toronto United's zone, Bianco Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Nance came out of the goal and Bianco Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hayden Laframboise was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Toronto United's goal looked a bit too open when Júlí Garcia came free, but William Nance reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bianco Garcia came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and William Nance could save by the left post. William Nance stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlí Garcia's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. The supporters of Toronto United booed when Yo Soy Tu Padre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Jenaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yo Soy Tu Padre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toronto United the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yo Soy Tu Padre fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Toronto United a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hayden Laframboise, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yo Soy Tu Padre's Primitivo Sadurni. 1-0. The supporters of Toronto United booed when Yo Soy Tu Padre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Faron didn't get a good kick on the ball.
