With a left leg David Rotariu saved PoWer SC 2K5 from getting behind. When Genílson Peixoto, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 8 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The David Rotariu was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Angel Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Todor in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper David Rotariu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Mitxel in the 19th minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper David Rotariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zvonimir Prestin to make the kick off. Genílson Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angel Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Matthäus in the 57th minute of the match.
