In the 41stth minute of the game Jörn Fagrell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palermo's Marcos Esdras was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hisingen IK's Einar Jernberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Hisingen IK from getting a goal against them. Jacinto Mino hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Hisingen IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Vachon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 61 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Högman came free, but Marcos Esdras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Elliot Högman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hisingen IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palermo the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Fagrell in the 75th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Marcos Esdras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Esdras was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Elliot Högman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 79 minute of play. After 82 played minutes Hisingen IK got a freekick which was hit by Robin Sjöberg. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julian Birila during the 84th minute. The Palermo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hisingen IK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
