Hayyam Tanju charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hayyam Tanju the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü got a freekick which was hit by Hayyam Tanju. In the 10th match minute, Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hayyam Tanju to maneuver through the defense. When Müfit Revis fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü's protests and gave Müfit Revis a yellow card for diving instead. Müfit Revis kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Müslüm Erçetin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Ur in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Bahri Veziroğlu hit a great ball. In the 17th minute Froilan Arnas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Müslüm Erçetin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 played minutes Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü got a freekick which was hit by Bahri Veziroğlu. Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü's Müslüm Erçetin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by György Kósa in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Froilan Arnas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü's Müslüm Erçetin. Müslüm Erçetin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Müslüm Erçetin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Ur, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Hayyam Tanju was shown his second yellow card after 26 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of LegionArgentina booed when Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayyam Tanju didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Oğuzalp Razi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ermegildo Jaunti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Müslüm Erçetin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 34thth minute of the game Froilan Arnas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü's Müslüm Erçetin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 37th minute, György Kósa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Müslüm Erçetin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. If Ali Acabey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü's goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Arnas came free, but Müslüm Erçetin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and György Kósa made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, LegionArgentina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Jaunti to maneuver through the defense. György Kósa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Müslüm Erçetin made a huge save. Müslüm Erçetin was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Ermegildo Jaunti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ermegildo Jaunti really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. After having played for 69 minutes, Ali Acabey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Acabey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 71 played minutes LegionArgentina got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Gabino. After 73 minutes, György Kósa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LegionArgentina and the Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, LegionArgentina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by György Kósa to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th match minute, Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halil Utku Torcan to maneuver through the defense. Müslüm Erçetin made an important save on a dangerous shot by György Kósa in the 86th minute. Ali Acabey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to LegionArgentina getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Rosendo Tabby hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded LegionArgentina left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Koşuyolu Spor Kulübü.
