Wincenty Puchlik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomasz Sobania in the 23rd minute of play. With a little luck, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto got control of the ball when Tomasz Sobania tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute Jardel Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincenty Puchlik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazinho Barreto came out of the goal and Tomasz Sobania tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
