Clodoveo Ponce started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind MKS Pogoń Szczecin's goalkeeper Wiktor Dudkowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Don Merlot got free with Wiktor Dudkowski in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wiktor Dudkowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Don Merlot went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Timo Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovando Vera, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute of the match, Alberigo Sessa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wiktor Dudkowski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Wiktor Dudkowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Don Merlot in the 16th minute. Wiktor Dudkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberigo Sessa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SSV Ulm 1846 were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after MKS Pogoń Szczecin's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sven-Olof Lilja took the corner. Alberigo Sessa made a great header on SSV Ulm 1846's corner, it was just that MKS Pogoń Szczecin's Wiktor Dudkowski managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 25 minutes, Don Merlot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SSV Ulm 1846's supporters crossed their fingers, but Don Merlot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. MKS Pogoń Szczecin's Wiktor Dudkowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save MKS Pogoń Szczecin from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, MKS Pogoń Szczecin's Wieslaw Dudkowski got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, MKS Pogoń Szczecin's goalkeeper Wiktor Dudkowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Don Merlot. Wiktor Dudkowski was a little too slow when Alberigo Sessa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 45th minute, Alberigo Sessa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wiktor Dudkowski. The goal made the score 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Don Merlot made a kick off. A collision led to MKS Pogoń Szczecin getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Francisco Daigle hit a great ball. Sven-Olof Lilja struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Wiktor Dudkowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SSV Ulm 1846. The corner led SSV Ulm 1846's Delmiro Jayvier to fire away a dangerous shot which Wiktor Dudkowski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Wiktor Dudkowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Don Merlot's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clodoveo Ponce got free with Timo Courtois in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Don Merlot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Wiktor Dudkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Don Merlot took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wiktor Dudkowski. Wiktor Dudkowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 73 minutes of play, SSV Ulm 1846's Don Merlot made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wiktor Dudkowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! SSV Ulm 1846's Timo Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovando Vera in the 77th minute of play. MKS Pogoń Szczecin were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after SSV Ulm 1846's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wieslaw Dudkowski took the corner. In the 82nd minute, Don Merlot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wiktor Dudkowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Timo Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovando Vera in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, MKS Pogoń Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Sessa came free, but Wiktor Dudkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the MKS Pogoń Szczecin defense, Don Merlot kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wiktor Dudkowski. The MKS Pogoń Szczecin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wiktor Dudkowski should have stopped the shot. 94 minutes into the match, MKS Pogoń Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Sessa came free, but Wiktor Dudkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SSV Ulm 1846 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of MKS Pogoń Szczecin for a fine match.
