In the 6th minute, ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Erbatur Okatay ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nilson Dracena. Nilson Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erbatur Okatay, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Nilson Dracena was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Şafak Yücelay capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Şafak Yücelay really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 17th minute, Hakkı Kenan Pekiner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Veysel Engintalay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Godoi in the 21st minute of play. If Batu Cem Önateş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Ian Cerezo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Veysel Engintalay was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The supporters of SE Palmeiras booed when ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emre Esenboğa didn't get a good kick on the ball. SE Palmeiras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Erbatur Okatay scored to the left of an out of position Nilson Dracena, making the score, 3-1. Nilson Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, one of SE Palmeiras:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SE Palmeiras. The crowd rose to their feet as Oswaldo Godoi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Veysel Engintalay. That made the score 5-2 in the 57 minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Medeiros came free, but Veysel Engintalay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SE Palmeiras's zone, Batu Cem Önateş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilson Dracena came out of the goal and Batu Cem Önateş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Veysel Engintalay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natanael Paraense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 78 minutes, Erbatur Okatay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erbatur Okatay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Veysel Engintalay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Emre Esenboğa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SE Palmeiras the free kick.
