Mustafa Namık Raşit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Möller having to interfere. Vilgot Vassenius kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Bedih Sefik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Jönsson in the 35th minute of the match. Andreas Möller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mustafa Namık Raşit in the 38th minute. After a rather tough play, Arsenal FC's Vilgot Vassenius got a free kick in the 46th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Andreas Möller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İzzet Albayrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mustafa Namık Raşit in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Möller saved Arsenal FC from getting behind. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Erbatur Okatay got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Namık Raşit in the 59th minute of play forced Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Andreas Möller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Arsenal FC's Bedih Sefik threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jimmie Runeberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Hürkan Tatar hit a great ball. Bedih Sefik was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jimmie Runeberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 67 minute of play. With a little luck, ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Bedih Sefik got control of the ball when Jimmie Runeberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bedih Sefik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leif Jönsson's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Andreas Möller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Namık Raşit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andreas Möller didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erbatur Okatay went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jimmie Runeberg 91 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After having played for 96 minutes, Jimmie Runeberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jimmie Runeberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
