In the 20th minute Santiago Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Crețu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stiinta-Univ.'s Martin Crețu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Rozarius in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Carolo Rozarius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Crețu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Martin Crețu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Mino, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Palermo's Alfredo Joey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Ming Sheng in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Medina came free, but Martin Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Crețu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Medina in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Ming Sheng in the 54th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Alfredo Joey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Stiinta-Univ. booed when Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carolo Rozarius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Crețu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stiinta-Univ.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
