The Palermo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Isaias Grove's late challenge caught a Team Pogba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaias Grove helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Team Pogba booed when Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Grove didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Team Pogba's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Medina came free, but Piers Harris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Joey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sander Roeles, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Piers Harris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Gonzalez in the 40th minute of the match. The Team Pogba fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Team Pogba's Sander Roeles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Piers Harris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Mino in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute Sander Roeles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Joey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sander Roeles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Team Pogba's attentive Doctor Sick managed to snatch the ball when Isaias Grove made a throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game. Team Pogba's Matty De Ligt was substituted for Louie Mulford. Team Pogba made a substitution. Andre Ridgeway replaced Alfred Orling. Alfons Hellström got a throw-in 69 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Arnoldo Medina. Team Pogba's Andre Ridgeway managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alfons Hellström in the 91 minute of the game. Alfredo Joey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Owen Martin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelino Chaimes short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Piers Harris to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Palermo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
