Fokke Meijeringh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Santxol, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 11th minute, Ferdi Vorenkamp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fokke Meijeringh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Santxol in the 14th minute of play. Surahammar's Carl Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anatoliy Gvozdevych in the 24th minute of play. In the 44th minute Radamel Oakley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fokke Meijeringh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carl Engström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold Rodenboog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th play minute Harold Rodenboog came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Carl Engström. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Inácio Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes in the game Anthony Hillen did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ferdi Vorenkamp. Carl Engström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Amaral in the 54th minute of the match. De Kasteelheren's Fokke Meijeringh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radamel Oakley in the 56th minute of play. Carl Engström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdi Vorenkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radamel Oakley in the 59th minute of play forced De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Fokke Meijeringh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carl Engström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdi Vorenkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eric Martinsson made in the 65th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Anthony Hillen. After a rather tough play, Surahammar's Folke Skröder got a free kick in the 66th minute. The audience was convinced that Inácio Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carl Engström was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game.
