The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inácio Amaral was the one to do the kick off. The referee showed Harold Rodenboog the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee ignored De Kasteelheren's protests and gave Anthony Hillen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, De Kasteelheren's Anthony Hillen got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mantzio Mena in the 62nd minute of play forced De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Fokke Meijeringh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, El Pinar's Ni Tian Peng got control of the ball when Inácio Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of El Pinar booed when De Kasteelheren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fokke Meijeringh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toma Merlushkin in the 86th minute of the match. De Kasteelheren's Fokke Meijeringh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toma Merlushkin in the 94th minute of play. When Nils-Åke Myhr fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Pinar's protests and gave Nils-Åke Myhr a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute, Nils-Åke Myhr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The De Kasteelheren supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing De Kasteelheren would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
