The referee ignored PTB Football Club's protests and gave Feliks Kowalski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to PTB Football Club getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Feliks Kowalski hit a great ball. Wellington Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boguslaw Bycofski in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrzej Sobczak in the 32nd minute of play forced Vasco FC's goalkeeper Wellington Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Boguslaw Bycofski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Pawelczyk kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half PTB Football Club were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gil Motta was the one to do the kick off.
