IFK Gladdarna's Kenny Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Furdui in the 20th minute of play. Zdeněk Nesládek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kenny Holmberg having to make a save. Jarmil Bůžek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Koch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zdeněk Nesládek in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kenny Holmberg saved IFK Gladdarna from getting behind. In the 41st minute of the match Iker Inge sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kenny Holmberg skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's Jarmil Bůžek got control of the ball when Arne Widberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Freddie Stenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jarmil Bůžek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Částek's late challenge caught a IFK Gladdarna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Částek helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's Alexander Částek got a free kick in the 46th minute. When Přemysl Valouch came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the SK Slavoj Vyšehrad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Přemysl Valouch couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zdeněk Nesládek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 61st minute, Brian Ahlroth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 95 minutes, Marquinhos Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Slavoj Vyšehrad and the IFK Gladdarna players grew even worse after the yellow card. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
