David Arenstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Linus Svanström came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by IFK Gladdarna's Emil Trulsson. But to his dismay, Emil Trulsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jo Blanchaert in the 29th minute of play forced IFK Gladdarna's goalkeeper Kenny Holmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, IFK Gladdarna's Brian Ahlroth got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Joakim Soned hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kenny Holmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Finnman, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The audience was convinced that Martin Sundin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Linus Svanström was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. The supporters of IFK Gladdarna booed when Average Joes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Soned didn't get a good kick on the ball. Linus Svanström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half IFK Gladdarna were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Emil Trulsson made the kick off in the second half. Linus Svanström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Sundin went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Kenny Holmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hampus Johansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, IFK Gladdarna's Martin Sundin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Linus Svanström. Linus Svanström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. 58 minutes into the match, IFK Gladdarna's goal looked a bit too open when Hampus Johansson came free, but Kenny Holmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to IFK Gladdarna getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Brian Ahlroth hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the game, Mattias Finnman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Average Joes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IFK Gladdarna the free kick. In the 66th minute of the match Average Joes got a corner. IFK Gladdarna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilhelm Blanck ran over to the corner to take the kick. Wilhelm Blanck made a great header on Average Joes's corner, it was just that IFK Gladdarna's Kenny Holmberg managed to reach the ball for a save. After 70 minutes of play, IFK Gladdarna's Emil Trulsson made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Linus Svanström was left in no man's land by his defense there! When David Arenstedt fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Gladdarna's protests and gave David Arenstedt a yellow card for diving instead. IFK Gladdarna's Kenny Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Finnman in the 73rd minute of play. Emil Trulsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kenny Holmberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
