Pál Benkó showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Qvarnström, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Márton Petres kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 28th minute Ernst Skog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pál Benkó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gottfrid Kullander was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tibor Dudics showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 29 minute of play. Gottfrid Kullander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihály Szikora in the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Göran Östlund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Hummerfiskarna's Ernst Skog got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 59 minutes, Marko Hammarbäck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hummerfiskarna and the Leeds players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute, Marko Hammarbäck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leeds's Pál Benkó played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Östlund in the 64th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Erik Qvarnström in the 72nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. With an all-out effort, Hummerfiskarna's Pál Benkó threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Göran Östlund, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
