The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Cassandros Elite Team's Daniel Lustosa got a free kick in the 10th minute. Andrézinho Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Kevin Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás Vilanova kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Ernani Paraense's late challenge caught a Cassandros Elite Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernani Paraense helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in BURITIS FC's zone, Alípio Quinaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrianinho Arósio came out of the goal and Alípio Quinaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cassandros Elite Team booed when BURITIS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matías Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. BURITIS FC's Andrézinho Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, BURITIS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julião Manso came free, but Adrianinho Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Julião Manso fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cassandros Elite Team's protests and gave Julião Manso a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of BURITIS FC booed when Cassandros Elite Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julião Manso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Ernani Paraense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Kevin Vides was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrézinho Valadares in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Vides saved Cassandros Elite Team from getting behind. After 40 played minutes BURITIS FC got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo Linhares. In the 41st minute of the match Máximo Barcelos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adrianinho Arósio skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Cassandros Elite Team getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Tomás Vilanova hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alípio Quinaz in the 47th minute of play forced BURITIS FC's goalkeeper Adrianinho Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrézinho Valadares to make the kick off. Andrézinho Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Vides having to interfere. Alípio Quinaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Adrianinho Arósio made a huge save. Adrianinho Arósio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julião Manso's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Andrézinho Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Kevin Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, BURITIS FC's Andrézinho Valadares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kevin Vides made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Kevin Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Alagoano in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Edson Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrézinho Valadares in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevin Vides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 71 minutes into the match, Máximo Barcelos notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of BURITIS FC's Adrianinho Arósio. Adrianinho Arósio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edson Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kevin Vides read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Ernani Paraense got his second yellow card in the match during the 78th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Cassandros Elite Team booed when BURITIS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernani Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Azevedo in the 87th minute of play forced Cassandros Elite Team's goalkeeper Kevin Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrézinho Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Kevin Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Julião Manso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adrianinho Arósio. Julião Manso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cassandros Elite Team walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
