A. Flancito's zone, Anier Oalo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Gaitan came out of the goal and Anier Oalo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, C. A. Flancito's Daniel Alonso got a free kick in the 25th minute. If Jimeno Pitin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Justo Romo sped through Celtic FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angelo Quico. Angelo Quico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justo Romo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Justo Romo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Angelo Quico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Jesus Frichoso made the kick off in the second half. Felipe Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Ortzi in the 55th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, C. A. Flancito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Quiroga to maneuver through the defense. Armando Fidele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Fidele's late challenge caught a C. A. Flancito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Fidele helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of C. A. Flancito booed when Celtic FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Fidele didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
