The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelo Quico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gýmir Gryc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Quico made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Gýmir Gryc sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Jimeno Pitin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Hök was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. With his leg Angelo Quico managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Pajala Sunrise's Gýmir Gryc fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 45th minute, Gýmir Gryc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pajala Sunrise fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

55 minutes in the game, Armando Fidele fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Daniel Hök having to interfere. Pajala Sunrise's Gýmir Gryc got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Lindman in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Quico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Celtic FC's zone, Gýmir Gryc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Quico came out of the goal and Gýmir Gryc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pajala Sunrise made a substitution. Sebastian Tolsson replaced Gnýr Gnaust. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Tingelholm in the 67th minute of play forced Celtic FC's goalkeeper Angelo Quico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arne Tingelholm in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Quico saved Celtic FC from getting behind. 71 minutes into the match, Pajala Sunrise's goalkeeper Daniel Hök had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jimeno Pitin. After 72 minutes Pajala Sunrise's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leo Gonsalvo who took care of the corner kick. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Celtic FC's goalkeeper Angelo Quico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Celtic FC's Angelo Quico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Tingelholm in the 81st minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Arne Tingelholm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pajala Sunrise's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arne Tingelholm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pajala Sunrise's Johannes Fernkvist was substituted for Yngve Sandström. In the 87th match minute, Pajala Sunrise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Tolsson to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Arne Tingelholm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pajala Sunrise's supporters rose to their feet, but Arne Tingelholm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Quico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute of the match Pajala Sunrise got a corner. Celtic FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Einar Larsfelt ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Celtic FC's goalie and right to Johannes Fernkvist. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Celtic FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Pajala Sunrise's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
