In the 12th minute Nestor Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Vladimirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santo Damario during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Santo Damario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute Santo Damario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Riesgo Cero's Cristian Vladimirescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Riesgo Cero from getting a goal against them. In the 25thth minute of the game Santo Damario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dida Taffarel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 庄潮宽's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. With an all-out effort, Marquês de Herval's Cristian Vladimirescu threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfredo Martins, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 33rd minute, Edgardo Faron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 played minutes Riesgo Cero got a freekick which was hit by 庄潮宽. 44 minutes into the match, Riesgo Cero's goalkeeper Cristian Vladimirescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Martins. Gaston Gonzalez hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Santo Damario to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Marquês de Herval getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Lorenzo Mendebal hit a great ball. Dida Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lech Biskupiak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Vladimirescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Martins's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After 56 minutes Riesgo Cero's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pedro Luís da Rocha who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Marquês de Herval's Pedro Luís da Rocha to fire away a dangerous shot which Cristian Vladimirescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lech Biskupiak. The Riesgo Cero players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Marquês de Herval from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
