When Constantijn De Hond fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Playa Malvín's protests and gave Constantijn De Hond a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cascade Park West booed when Playa Malvín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantijn De Hond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dario Wilhelm stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fred Åkerström's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Constantijn De Hond was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The audience was convinced that Constantijn De Hond's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Wilhelm was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Dario Wilhelm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Åkerström, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Claude Joyner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Roberto Teixeira. Playa Malvín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claude Joyner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Dario Wilhelm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Åkerström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandu Mândrilă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dario Wilhelm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Åkerström in the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cascade Park West's goalkeeper Dario Wilhelm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Fausto Jayaga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Playa Malvín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cascade Park West the free kick. A collision led to Playa Malvín getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Fausto Jayaga hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fred Åkerström made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Cascade Park West's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Åkerström came free, but Dario Wilhelm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Fred Åkerström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Playa Malvín played a much better game than Cascade Park West and deserved their victory. The Cascade Park West players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
