Emiliano Velasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Roberto Teixeira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Playa Malvín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emiliano Velasco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 34 minutes into the game, Fred Åkerström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Fernando Selatse was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zé Roberto Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Kopacz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Playa Malvín's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Velasco came free, but Zé Roberto Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Despidida AFC booed when Playa Malvín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jabier Igual didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fred Åkerström to make the kick off. Czeslaw Kopacz might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Roberto Teixeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Czeslaw Kopacz ran back to his position shaking his head. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Arturo Arano replaced Szymon Pyrzyce. Playa Malvín made a substitution. Sesuldo Roque replaced Sandu Mândrilă. Feliksas Fenichev made in the 66th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Feliksas Fenichev. Fernando Selatse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niva Espellosa went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. 83 minutes into the game, one of Playa Malvín:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 91 minutes into the match, Niva Espellosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Selatse. Despidida AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niva Espellosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. Toro Martínez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Roberto Teixeira having to make a save.
