In the 2nd minute, Nestor Paraibano made a precise shot to the right of Felipe Tajo. Monky FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With his leg Dida Taffarel managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Monky FC's Håkan Wennersten fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 7th minute Alfredo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Tajo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipe Tajo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Martins in the 7th minute of play. Felipe Tajo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Martins in the 7th minute of the match. Nestor Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Monky FC's Håkan Wennersten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dida Taffarel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Martins in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felipe Tajo saved Monky FC from getting behind. German Cano kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute Nestor Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Tajo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipe Tajo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Denis Sein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute Alfredo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Tajo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marquês de Herval's Pedro Luís da Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 41 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Martins. In the 44th minute, Denis Sein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felipe Tajo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from German Cano went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denis Sein stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Alfredo Martins fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Felipe Tajo, passed just outside the right post. Felipe Tajo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Paraibano in the 53rd minute. Nestor Paraibano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Felipe Tajo came out and tried to block the shot, but Nestor Paraibano slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute Patricio Mannuel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. German Cano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Felipe Tajo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Monky FC's Felipe Tajo got control of the ball when Nestor Paraibano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nestor Paraibano had several of the Monky FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 72 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Felipe Tajo as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 77th match minute, Monky FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidro Cristofor to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Monky FC's zone, Pedro Luís da Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Tajo came out of the goal and Pedro Luís da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nestor Paraibano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Felipe Tajo made a huge save. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monky FC's goalkeeper Felipe Tajo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 88 minutes, Nestor Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marquês de Herval's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Alfredo Martins made a precise shot to the right of Felipe Tajo. Monky FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Marquês de Herval played a much better game than Monky FC and deserved their victory. The Monky FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
