Ruperto Maria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Arano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute Costin Duca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Siro Llorienzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toro Martínez might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruperto Maria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toro Martínez ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toro Martínez in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruperto Maria saved Salmuera CP from getting behind. Despidida AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emanuel Lucila in the 22nd minute. The Despidida AFC fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Despidida AFC's Arturo Arano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Salmuera CP booed when Despidida AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Lucila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kiko De la Cuadra struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Fernando Selatse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salmuera CP. Despidida AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Costin Duca scored to the left of an out of position Fernando Selatse, making the score, 1-2. 38 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Duca came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salmuera CP's Ruperto Maria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toro Martínez in the 41st minute of play. Siro Llorienzo charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Siro Llorienzo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Salmuera CP's Siro Llorienzo got a free kick in the 45th minute. If Toro Martínez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Despidida AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Toro Martínez made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes in the game Siro Llorienzo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Costin Duca. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Gopala Pillai in the 55th minute of play. Ruperto Maria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toro Martínez, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Emiliano Velasco replaced Toro Martínez. Despidida AFC's Pastor Tino was substituted for Arturo Arano. In the 59th minute of the match Despidida AFC got a corner. Salmuera CP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emanuel Lucila ran over to the corner to take the kick. Despidida AFC's Pastor Tino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ruperto Maria in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Despidida AFC fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Despidida AFC's Pastor Tino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fan Xing Zhou in the 67th minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torcuato Herrero in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Czeslaw Kopacz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Ruperto Maria was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After taking down the ball on Despidida AFC's corner Emanuel Lucila fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ruperto Maria quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Kopacz in the 94th minute of play forced Salmuera CP's goalkeeper Ruperto Maria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Torcuato Herrero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Salmuera CP supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Despidida AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Despidida AFC.
