Habib Ali Picavea's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Generoso Bemabe firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Morro Grande E.C's Alfredinho Vieira got a free kick in the 9th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Habib Ali Picavea got free with Generoso Bemabe in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gláuber Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Curcio in the 13th minute of play. Habib Ali Picavea took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Generoso Bemabe. Generoso Bemabe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AZURDUY F.C.! Julian Ireno hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute of the match Toninho Grau shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Generoso Bemabe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Morro Grande E.C booed when AZURDUY F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Curcio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saverio Louis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gláuber Brodel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, AZURDUY F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Habib Ali Picavea came free, but Generoso Bemabe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes, Angelo Ortle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AZURDUY F.C. and the Morro Grande E.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Angelo Ortle kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Morro Grande E.C's Toninho Grau got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Morro Grande E.C's Habib Ali Picavea was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 43rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnoldo Curcio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Morro Grande E.C's Alfredinho Vieira made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Generoso Bemabe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Generoso Bemabe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredinho Vieira went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Morro Grande E.C's Elói Penha was substituted for Marcos Ramalho. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Morro Grande E.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AZURDUY F.C.:s goal. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Habib Ali Picavea put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Generoso Bemabe. Morro Grande E.C's Toninho Soeiro was substituted for Kaká Sampaio. In the 87th match minute, AZURDUY F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Reno to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute Habib Ali Picavea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Bemabe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 96 minutes on the clock, Angelo Ortle commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Morro Grande E.C. Toninho Grau stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Generoso Bemabe. 6-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Morro Grande E.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while AZURDUY F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
