Misael Brizuela charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Misael Brizuela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Misael Brizuela hit a great ball. In the 17th minute Tonhão Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evair Palmeira in the 19th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Miguel Marin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatinho Urbano in the 21st minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of GuateFortín:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ITAFUT 4EVER:s goal. In the 24th minute there was a penalty for ITAFUT 4EVER. Tonhão Palmeira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Miguel Marin. 1-1. In the 31st minute Valério Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Evair Palmeira came free, but Miguel Marin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carmelo Sandoval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of ITAFUT 4EVER booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Talia didn't get a good kick on the ball. ITAFUT 4EVER's Guto de Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carmelo Sandoval to strike the kick off in the second half. Miguel Marin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Miguel Marin managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when ITAFUT 4EVER's Evair Palmeira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 58th minute, Danilo Viscarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, GuateFortín's Miguel Marin got control of the ball when Evair Palmeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Beto Viana struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Miguel Marin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ITAFUT 4EVER. ITAFUT 4EVER's Wiliam Paes suffered a sore thigh after 71 minutes and couldn't finish the game.
