In the 19th minute Nicanor Gaufred shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Santo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 minutes Amboy FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Conrado Ubarna who took care of the corner kick. Maximino Aznaro hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, Prospero Rubio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Severiano Santo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Filomeno Pio hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute Prospero Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Santo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amboy FC's Filomeno Pio managed to work through Palermo's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Filomeno Pio dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Uriel Etxekopar got free with Enrique Lekubegi in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Filomeno Pio hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Uriel Etxekopar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Palermo's Enrique Lekubegi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uriel Etxekopar in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Lisandro Argi got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 58th match minute, Amboy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Orlondon to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Etxekopar came free, but Enrique Lekubegi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmacio Javiar in the 62nd minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Enrique Lekubegi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute Filomeno Pio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Lekubegi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 78 minutes, Conrado Ubarna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palermo and the Amboy FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 82 minutes into the game, Prospero Rubio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amboy FC the free kick. After 82 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Prospero Rubio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Pio in the 84th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Enrique Lekubegi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Lekubegi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Pio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Palermo's Enrique Lekubegi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uriel Etxekopar in the 89th minute of play. Enrique Lekubegi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uriel Etxekopar, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Uriel Etxekopar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enrique Lekubegi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Amboy FC fully deserved thier win.
