Maximiliano Iigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Kranevitter, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The supporters of ★Independiente Ψ★ booed when DirectorVisual.com was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milton Casco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 58 played minutes, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Adan Aresti shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mauro Iruinea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ★Independiente Ψ★ reached it. Federico Urtats could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Maximiliano Iigo made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in DirectorVisual.com's zone, Gabriel-Omar Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Iruinea came out of the goal and Gabriel-Omar Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriel-Omar Batista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro Iruinea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After some careless play in the DirectorVisual.com defense, Gabriel-Omar Batista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauro Iruinea. The DirectorVisual.com fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauro Iruinea should have stopped the shot. ★Independiente Ψ★'s Cristian Jaunti was substituted for Nicolas Salomon. Jay-Jay Okocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Gabriel-Omar Batista notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of DirectorVisual.com's Mauro Iruinea. Mauro Iruinea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mauro Iruinea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel-Omar Batista in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Gabriel-Omar Batista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Ruggeri couldn't finish the play.
