The supporters of Defensores de Mar de Ajó booed when Deportivo Balvanera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kleopas Plouffe came out of the goal and Renato Portalupi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 12 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Aznar came free, but Omar Lauren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omar Lauren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Romildo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Lauren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Romildo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 21st minute Eusebio Ecija shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kleopas Plouffe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kleopas Plouffe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Portalupi in the 25th minute of the match. Omar Lauren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Elequemedo in the 32nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebio Ecija in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kleopas Plouffe saved Defensores de Mar de Ajó from getting behind. In the 35thth minute of the game Eusebio Ecija who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Kleopas Plouffe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kleopas Plouffe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Erroman in the 37th minute of the match. If Renato Portalupi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cesar Romildo to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Deportivo Balvanera were awarded a corner. Eusebio Ecija went to the cornerflag to take it. Kleopas Plouffe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Portalupi, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Gogo Elequemedo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Deportivo Balvanera made a substitution. Prudencio Uhin replaced Eugenio Mena. A sloppy throw-in by Inautzi Quesada in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Deportivo Balvanera's Till Slesinski. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandu Sălcudeanu during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 played minutes Defensores de Mar de Ajó got a freekick which was hit by Sandu Sălcudeanu. Natalio Martino kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Balvanera's Natalio Martino got a free kick in the 95th minute.
