Zhao Yao Ying could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Felipe Tajo made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Monky FC's Isidro Cristofor got a free kick in the 14th minute. Zhao Yao Ying received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Felipe Tajo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justino Tadzio kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Guo Han Di made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Sein in the 20th minute of play. When Justino Tadzio fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monky FC's protests and gave Justino Tadzio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, one of Monky FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Monky FC. Felipe Tajo had in the 23rdth minute some difficulties stopping Filippo Bobbio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Filippo Bobbio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felipe Tajo. Monky FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filippo Bobbio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zhao Yao Ying got free with Felipe Tajo in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zhao Yao Ying could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Felipe Tajo made a huge save. Oldham Athletic's Guo Han Di played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Musko in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Oldham Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Mannuel came free, but Guo Han Di reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Patricio Mannuel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monky FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Mannuel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 46 minutes of play, Monky FC's Patricio Mannuel made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guo Han Di was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Denis Sein was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Oldham Athletic's Zhao Yao Ying sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felipe Tajo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guo Han Di was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patricio Mannuel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 53 minute of play. Cristian-Federico Dolić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Tajo having to interfere. Felipe Tajo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhao Yao Ying, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Monky FC's Eliseo Guillelmo got a free kick in the 59th minute. Felipe Tajo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhao Yao Ying, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Felipe Tajo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian-Federico Dolić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Tajo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muhammed-Emir Benice in the 64th minute of play. After 65 minutes Monky FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Filippo Bobbio who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Monky FC's goalie and right to Anxo Cecilia. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Monky FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Oldham Athletic made a substitution. Valter Abrahamsson replaced Anxo Cecilia. The supporters of Oldham Athletic booed when Monky FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Mannuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guo Han Di showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Håkan Wennersten in the 70th minute of the match. Felipe Tajo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sune Axelsson in the 71st minute of the match. Muhammed-Emir Benice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chants of Monky FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Oldham Athletic had held the ball for most of the match.
