When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zhao Yao Ying made a kick off. Anxo Cecilia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Edvin van der Sar made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Anxo Cecilia took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Edvin van der Sar to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tom Misaki in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guo Han Di prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Åke Aspengren hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Tom Misaki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guo Han Di having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Tom Misaki put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Guo Han Di. Edvin van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sune Axelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oldham Athletic's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
