The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Śląsk Bytom's Hakkı Elçin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Hellgren, made in the 2nd minute of the game. After 21 minutes Śląsk Bytom's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Harry Ekeberg who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Oakcroft Thrashers's corner Harry Ekeberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Antoni Brama quite easily take care of the ball. Christoffer Modig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakkı Elçin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes of play, Oakcroft Thrashers's Jörn Holm made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antoni Brama was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute of the match, Ian Wright tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Antoni Brama saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fevzi Baykara in the 37th minute of play forced Oakcroft Thrashers's goalkeeper Christoffer Modig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes of play, Śląsk Bytom's Hakkı Elçin made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christoffer Modig was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Śląsk Bytom's Kazimierz Ewertowski got a free kick in the 44th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ian Wright stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oakcroft Thrashers's Christoffer Modig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fevzi Baykara in the 56th minute of play. Christoffer Modig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakkı Elçin in the 59th minute of the match. Christoffer Modig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakkı Elçin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Hellgren hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute Jörn Holm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Brama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Svante Gustafsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oakcroft Thrashers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. If Svante Gustafsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute of the match, Ulryk Miazga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Christoffer Modig saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Christoffer Modig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fevzi Baykara's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Oakcroft Thrashers's Christoffer Modig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulryk Miazga in the 82nd minute of play. Christoffer Modig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulryk Miazga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Oakcroft Thrashers's goal looked a bit too open when Ulryk Miazga came free, but Christoffer Modig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antoni Brama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svante Gustafsson in the 88th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Oakcroft Thrashers's Benigno Jerrold got a free kick in the 89th minute. Stefan Danisiewicz hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Oakcroft Thrashers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Śląsk Bytom had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
