The Fetiyerd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 6th minute Aurelio Rivas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fetiyerd's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aurelio Rivas in the 7th minute. After taking down the ball on Fetiyerd's corner Cristiano Mezquita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cristian Gomes quite easily take care of the ball. Aurelio Rivas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristian Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Rivas in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Jung 1972's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Rivas came free, but Cristian Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Fetiyerd booed when Jung 1972 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Toral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fetiyerd's Montes Quevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steevy Ciobica in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Toral in the 56th minute of play forced Fetiyerd's goalkeeper Montes Quevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jung 1972 made a substitution. Sérgio Maia replaced Basílio Nogueira. If Aurelio Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aurelio Rivas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Cristian Gomes made a huge save. 66 minutes into the match, Jung 1972's goalkeeper Cristian Gomes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelio Rivas. Aurelio Rivas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Gomes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Aurelio Rivas might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristian Gomes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aurelio Rivas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jung 1972's goalkeeper Cristian Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Jung 1972's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Rivas came free, but Cristian Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Montes Quevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilian Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Aurelio Rivas came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Fetiyerd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Rivas couldn't finish the play. Cristian Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Rivas, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Montes Quevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Maia in the 93rd minute of the match. Chants of Fetiyerd echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Jung 1972 had held the ball for most of the match.
