Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agnaldo Vargas in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Zawada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Diego Cerezo got a free kick in the 7th minute. Sebastian Zawada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson de Carvalho in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Agnaldo Vargas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Zawada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, THE FAVOURITES's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Cerezo came free, but Sebastian Zawada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Paulo Renato Souza notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of THE FAVOURITES's Sebastian Zawada. Sebastian Zawada was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Diego Cerezo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. That made the score 4-0 in the 32 minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Juvenal Novaes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave THE FAVOURITES the free kick. Juvenal Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Barna was the one to do the kick off. Paulo Renato Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sebastian Zawada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nova Iguaçu MZFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
