After 3 played minutes DENVER™ got a freekick which was hit by Adrianinho Negri. Placido Furtado was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Nilmar Freitas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nilmar Freitas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, The Hanging Tree's Atilano Richie got a free kick in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Nilmar Freitas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Placido Furtado. Nilmar Freitas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 16th match minute, The Hanging Tree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Markel to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Placido Furtado throw himself and got hold of the ball when Nilmar Freitas in the 23rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as DENVER™'s Waldir Romero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Placido Furtado. That made the score 3-0 after 25 minutes of play. Toninho Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Firme, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, DENVER™'s Adrianinho Negri got a free kick in the 40th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guilherme Abud made a kick off. Nilmar Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute, Nilmar Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute, Albino Roderigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute of the match Conrado Paraibano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Placido Furtado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albino Roderigo during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Albino Roderigo hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Toninho Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Tajo in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Wanderson Passos threw the ball into play from the sideline. The Hanging Tree's Silverio Gumaro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Toninho Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Pablo Firme sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, DENVER™'s Adrianinho Negri got a free kick in the 87th minute. The Hanging Tree's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
