Wellington Barbosa had in the 25thth minute some difficulties stopping Atilano Richie's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Vasco FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Raphael de Medeiros hit a great ball. The Hanging Tree's Placido Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Schmidt in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Motta in the 39th minute of play forced The Hanging Tree's goalkeeper Placido Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Hanging Tree's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tiago Gabriel Mesquita was slow to take the kick. During this time Vasco FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Vasco FC's Tiago Gabriel Mesquita to fire away a dangerous shot which Placido Furtado despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Placido Furtado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiago Gabriel Mesquita went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gil Motta to make the kick off. Placido Furtado was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marquinhos Schmidt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pablo Firme in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wellington Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Placido Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 66 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Firme came free, but Wellington Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, Delmar Markel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Placido Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Motta in the 67th minute of play. Wellington Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Tajo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Hanging Tree were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Vasco FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Atilano Richie took the corner. The Hanging Tree's Atilano Richie was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wellington Barbosa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 73 minutes into the match, The Hanging Tree's goalkeeper Placido Furtado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marquinhos Schmidt. Wellington Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pablo Firme's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 85 minutes into the game, Gogo Tajo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Wellington Barbosa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wellington Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Firme in the 93rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vasco FC's zone, Pablo Firme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Barbosa came out of the goal and Pablo Firme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
