In the 2nd minute, Taco Oldenborger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Măcrinici in the 3rd minute of play forced Ryttartorpets FF's goalkeeper Patrik Linqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ladislao Gerazan in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrik Linqvist saved Ryttartorpets FF from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ladislao Gerazan in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrik Linqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Horaţiu Măcrinici's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrik Linqvist was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Gruber in the 25th minute of play. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Patrik Linqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horaţiu Măcrinici, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ren Smuts kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Patrik Linqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horaţiu Măcrinici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Ryttartorpets FF made a substitution. Viggo Rang replaced Kim Kellbom. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horaţiu Măcrinici to strike the kick off in the second half. When Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Horaţiu Măcrinici in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ryttartorpets FF's goalie prevented a goal. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Ladislao Gerazan came free and shot a quick shot against goal 54 minutes in the game, fortunately Patrik Linqvist had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Nova Iguaçu MZFC were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Ryttartorpets FF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Fábio de Medeiros took the corner. 59 minutes into the match, Ryttartorpets FF's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Gerazan came free, but Patrik Linqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrik Linqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Măcrinici in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hubert Gruber in the 71st minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ren Smuts hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 75 played minutes, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Luiz Fábio de Medeiros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Patrik Linqvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nova Iguaçu MZFC reached it. Patrik Linqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ladislao Gerazan in the 78th minute. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Luiz Fábio de Medeiros shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 83rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Patrik Linqvist but with some difficulty. Luiz Fábio de Medeiros shot from long distance in the 86th minute, but Patrik Linqvist was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After some careless play in the Ryttartorpets FF defense, Ladislao Gerazan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrik Linqvist. The Ryttartorpets FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrik Linqvist should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Ryttartorpets FF's Patrik Linqvist got control of the ball when Ladislao Gerazan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nova Iguaçu MZFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
