The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Haşim Resat scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Pras, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nelsinho Marinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Kamber Sefaaddin made a huge save. The supporters of FCFiratRom booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Rafael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haşim Resat hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 14 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Carneiro. Haşim Resat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th minute Perivaldo Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamber Sefaaddin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes of play, FCFiratRom's Haşim Resat made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Pras was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, Palestra do Interior's Kamber Sefaaddin threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ronaldo Pirani, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fernando Pras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Nejat Maruf in the 28th minute of the match. In the 28thth minute of the game Ali Nejat Maruf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palestra do Interior's Fernando Pras was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The FCFiratRom fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when FCFiratRom's Ali Nejat Maruf looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vahap Ergenç hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Richard Ríos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kamber Sefaaddin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by FCFiratRom's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Richard Ríos was slow to take the kick. During this time Palestra do Interior's players had a chance to rest. Kamber Sefaaddin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, FCFiratRom's Vahap Ergenç got a free kick in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Pirani recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kamber Sefaaddin. Ronaldo Pirani showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Perivaldo Carneiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kamber Sefaaddin having to make a save.

Kamber Sefaaddin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelsinho Marinho in the 52nd minute of play. Kamber Sefaaddin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, FCFiratRom's Ahmet Turan Çile got a free kick in the 55th minute. FCFiratRom's Kamber Sefaaddin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doni Pimenta in the 60th minute of play. Kamber Sefaaddin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho Marinho in the 64th minute of the match. Kamber Sefaaddin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 70 played minutes FCFiratRom got a freekick which was hit by Ali Nejat Maruf. Palestra do Interior's Anísio Carneiro was substituted for Perivaldo Gerber. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. David Vale replaced Alex Toscano. In the 72nd match minute, FCFiratRom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Nejat Maruf to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Nelsinho Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kamber Sefaaddin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinei Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Nelsinho Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamber Sefaaddin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christiano Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Nelsinho Marinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kamber Sefaaddin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nelsinho Marinho ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to FCFiratRom getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Hakkı Kenan Garipoğlu hit a great ball. If Nelsinho Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute, Vahap Ergenç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, David Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestra do Interior's supporters rose to their feet, but David Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kamber Sefaaddin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Palestra do Interior lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
