After 5 played minutes S.D. Bajen got a freekick which was hit by Devon Pollard. In the 7th match minute, S.D. Bajen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odell McPherson to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Lico in the 8th minute of play forced S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Pascal Avalos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The nice shot from Lane Berg in the 11thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jonatan Enekoitz had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of S.D. Bajen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Monte Hermoso Beach:s goal. S.D. Bajen:s Pascal Avalos showed great skill when he stopped Maximo Lico:s penalty. After some careless play in the S.D. Bajen defense, Maximo Lico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pascal Avalos. The S.D. Bajen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pascal Avalos should have stopped the shot. Pascal Avalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Fraco in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Monte Hermoso Beach's goalkeeper Jonatan Enekoitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Devin Madison. After 20 minutes, Benjamin Arotza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monte Hermoso Beach and the S.D. Bajen players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 played minutes Monte Hermoso Beach got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Arotza. 25 minutes into the game, Monte Hermoso Beach's Benjamin Arotza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pascal Avalos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Jonatan Enekoitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clinton Starnes went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Lico in the 34th minute of play forced S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Pascal Avalos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.D. Bajen's Pascal Avalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Lico in the 37th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximo Lico in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pascal Avalos saved S.D. Bajen from getting behind. 43 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Lico came free, but Pascal Avalos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44thth minute of the game Maximo Lico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.D. Bajen's Pascal Avalos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Monte Hermoso Beach fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Monte Hermoso Beach's Maximo Lico looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Monte Hermoso Beach's Gregorio Bastian was substituted for Maximo Lico. S.D. Bajen's Mohammed Cagle was substituted for Robbie Parson. In the 55th minute Gregorio Bastian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascal Avalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pascal Avalos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Joseph in the 58th minute. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.D. Bajen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bonifacio Fraco was slow to take the kick. During this time Monte Hermoso Beach's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Monte Hermoso Beach's Bonifacio Fraco to fire away a dangerous shot which Pascal Avalos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Miguel Joseph scored 1-5 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pascal Avalos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. S.D. Bajen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Miguel Joseph scored to the left of an out of position Pascal Avalos, making the score, 1-6. S.D. Bajen's Pascal Avalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Fraco in the 80th minute of play. S.D. Bajen's Pascal Avalos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save S.D. Bajen from getting a goal against them. Jonatan Enekoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Meyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pascal Avalos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Bastian, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Bonifacio Fraco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
