The supporters of Herblay booed when Unicorns ™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niculae Bărbulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jules Triboulet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghe Albescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unicorns ™'s Alex Răduț got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silviu Bogătan was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Salomon Got capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Salomon Got really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 24th play minutes José Dehais shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Silviu Bogătan and just under the crossbar into goal. José Dehais might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silviu Bogătan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Dehais ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Unicorns ™ getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Albert Şania hit a great ball. If José Dehais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unicorns ™'s Alex Răduț couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Herblay. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Salomon Got sped through Unicorns ™'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Silviu Bogătan. In the 42nd minute, Herblay's Salomon Got dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Herblay's Antonin Daguerre got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Salomon Got scored 5-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silviu Bogătan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salomon Got in the 58th minute of play forced Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Silviu Bogătan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silviu Bogătan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Dehais in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Unicorns ™'s Valentin Alexandrescu got a free kick in the 61st minute. Steve Keller hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Alex Răduț's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jules Triboulet was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Malik Vrignon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Dehais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Silviu Bogătan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malik Vrignon struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Silviu Bogătan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Herblay. Salomon Got took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silviu Bogătan. Silviu Bogătan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. When Niculae Bărbulescu fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unicorns ™'s protests and gave Niculae Bărbulescu a yellow card for diving instead. Niculae Bărbulescu hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Alex Răduț managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unicorns ™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Răduț was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jules Triboulet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute Antonin Daguerre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Bogătan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Herblay had won after a very even match.
