In the 16th match minute, Unicorns ™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurel Huștiu to maneuver through the defense. When Sérgio Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Palestra do Interior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Cruz couldn't finish the play. After 24 minutes of play, Palestra do Interior's Ronaldo Pirani made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silviu Bogătan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 30 played minutes Unicorns ™ got a freekick which was hit by Alex Răduț. With 31 minutes on the clock, Damian Ghișe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 31st minute, one of Unicorns ™:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Unicorns ™. The referee gave Palestra do Interior a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nelsinho Marinho, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Unicorns ™'s Silviu Bogătan. 0-3. When Richard Ríos fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palestra do Interior's protests and gave Richard Ríos a yellow card for diving instead. Richard Ríos kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Alex Răduț recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Alex Toscano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 minutes, Zé Rafael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palestra do Interior and the Unicorns ™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Palestra do Interior getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Zé Rafael hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, Unicorns ™'s Silviu Bogătan got control of the ball when Ronaldo Pirani tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Alex Toscano came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Palestra do Interior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Toscano couldn't finish the play. When Palestra do Interior's Ronaldo Pirani in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Dinei Brito replaced Ronaldo Pirani. 78 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Silviu Bogătan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Perivaldo Carneiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Carneiro in the 83rd minute of play forced Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Silviu Bogătan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Unicorns ™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gheorghe Albescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Richard Ríos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silviu Bogătan skillfully saved the ball. A hard shot 95 in the game by Nelsinho Marinho from a close distance when the talented Silviu Bogătan managed to make a qualified save. Unicorns ™'s players were relieved. Palestra do Interior's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
