Adam Maugard kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After 7 minutes Herblay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maicon Zanette who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Al-Fajuth's Maicon Zanette to fire away a dangerous shot which Kader Raguin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Édouard Mendy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salomon Got, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 19th minute, Tom Colle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Herblay's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Alagoano came free, but Kader Raguin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kader Raguin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Al-Fajuth were awarded a corner. Maicon Zanette went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Al-Fajuth's corner Maicon Zanette fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kader Raguin quite easily take care of the ball. If Rômulo Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Soares in the 38th minute of play forced Herblay's goalkeeper Kader Raguin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute of the match, Rômulo Soares tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kader Raguin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salomon Got in the 45th minute of play forced Al-Fajuth's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes Al-Fajuth got a freekick which was hit by Célio Albuquerque. A collision led to Herblay getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Paul-Émile Morille hit a great ball. Kader Raguin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rômulo Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Herblay's Kader Raguin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rômulo Soares in the 58th minute of play. Kader Raguin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Alagoano in the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Eliseu Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Al-Fajuth's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseu Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kader Raguin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Léo Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 70th match minute, Al-Fajuth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Matorin to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Wilson Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rômulo Soares hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salomon Got got free with Édouard Mendy in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 82 minutes into the match, Amadeu Furlan notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Herblay's Kader Raguin. Kader Raguin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Al-Fajuth's Édouard Mendy got control of the ball when Antonin Daguerre tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kader Raguin came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Al-Fajuth's Eliseu Alagoano. But to his dismay, Eliseu Alagoano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A collision led to Al-Fajuth getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Amadeu Furlan hit a great ball. In the 91st minute Salomon Got shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Édouard Mendy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herblay's Kader Raguin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Alagoano in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute of the game Paul-Émile Morille made a throw-in which Malik Vrignon played forward. For all the effort they put into the match, the Herblay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Al-Fajuth.
