But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Maldonado couldn't finish the play. When Tomas Txatxu came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the ⲨⲀⲚⲀ fans jumped to their feet. But to his dismay, Clemente Martino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 31st minute, Dante Chico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd match minute, ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Filipo to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's Modesto Ugaitz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ubaldo Ishmael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Otsoko in the 38th minute of play forced ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's goalkeeper Iker Azubeli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iker Azubeli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemente Martino went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 45th minute Clemente Martino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Azubeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clemente Martino was the one to do the kick off. Faustino Aimar charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Clemente Martino took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Iker Azubeli to make any attempt to save it. After 68 played minutes ⲨⲀⲚⲀ got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Txatxu. ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's Iker Azubeli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Elodio in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to ⲨⲀⲚⲀ getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Godfredo Firman hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Fernando Elodio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Elodio in the 90th minute of play forced ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's goalkeeper Iker Azubeli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Maldonado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Afonso having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Elodio came free, but Iker Azubeli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's goalkeeper Iker Azubeli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodolfo Otsoko. Rodolfo Otsoko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ⲨⲀⲚⲀ.
