Camilo Mondragon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, David Tabb had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gregory Pegrum. Manly FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Tabb was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Illan in the 14th minute of play forced Manly FC's goalkeeper Gregory Pegrum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Mondragon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Craig Johnston in the 18th minute of play. Gregory Pegrum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Manny in the 27th minute of the match. Gregory Pegrum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Manny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonides Manny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregory Pegrum having to interfere. Gregory Pegrum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Tabb in the 39th minute of the match. Guillermo Marin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregory Pegrum having to interfere. After the first half Formentera were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Tabb was the one to do the kick off. Guillermo Marin kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Craig Johnston came free, but Camilo Mondragon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 minutes, Philip Fison mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manly FC and the Formentera players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guillermo Marin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camilo Mondragon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwardo Marsland in the 75th minute of the match. After 83 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Ponciano. 86 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Marin came free, but Gregory Pegrum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregory Pegrum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Manny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Formentera's Gregory Pegrum threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Santo Illan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edwardo Marsland charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edwardo Marsland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edwardo Marsland hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Formentera's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
