Taco Zwartkruis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walery Rekawiczka, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After some careless play in the Julias Rascals Apeldoorn defense, Raúl Gonzales kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Taco Zwartkruis. The Julias Rascals Apeldoorn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Taco Zwartkruis should have stopped the shot. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Hans-Cees Schattenberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stasio Starogardzki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 65th minute, Bertus Spijker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 66 played minutes Modlau got a freekick which was hit by Tolek Zieba. The supporters of Julias Rascals Apeldoorn booed when Modlau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tolek Zieba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stasio Starogardzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Kuijt, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Santiago Kuijt notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Modlau's Stasio Starogardzki. Stasio Starogardzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Izaak Struik in the 86th minute of play. Dobromir Rzeszutko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Taco Zwartkruis made a huge save.
