Édouard Mendy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haşim Resat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haşim Resat in the 15th minute of play forced Al-Fajuth's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeynel Gulson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Eliseu Alagoano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FCFiratRom's Zeynel Gulson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Meireles in the 20th minute of play. With a little luck, Al-Fajuth's Édouard Mendy got control of the ball when Haşim Resat tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zeynel Gulson came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Al-Fajuth's Eliseu Alagoano. But to his dismay, Eliseu Alagoano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Omero Cobain was the one to do the kick off. Maicon Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Omero Cobain's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Édouard Mendy was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. During the 68th minute of the match Maicon Zanette completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Maicon Zanette a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of FCFiratRom booed when Al-Fajuth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maicon Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haşim Resat in the 70th minute of play forced Al-Fajuth's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
