Formentera's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tobias Ponciano in the 11th minute. In the 18th minute, David Tabb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 20 minutes, David Tabb made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Zelg FC's Marian Anderjoli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The long shot by Joaquin Vela in the 23rd minute really tested Marian Anderjoli's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Marian Anderjoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Tabb, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Tabb in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marian Anderjoli saved Zelg FC from getting behind. After 41 played minutes Zelg FC got a freekick which was hit by Gregg Graber. 44 minutes into the match, Zelg FC's goalkeeper Marian Anderjoli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santo Illan.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Tabb stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Santo Illan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Formentera's supporters rose to their feet, but Santo Illan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marian Anderjoli prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
