Leonides Lidon, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. When San Fernando Eagles's Iker Galtero in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 17th minute Iker Galtero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adelino Esteves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fabricio Nahia came out and tried to block the shot, but Adelino Esteves slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 19th minute. After 28 minutes, Robinho Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flamengo CIMZ and the San Fernando Eagles players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Flamengo CIMZ's Robinho Silveira got a free kick in the 29th minute. André Dracena's late challenge caught a San Fernando Eagles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Dracena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, Flamengo CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Dracena to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Iker Galtero sped through Flamengo CIMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vítor Britto.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iker Galtero to make the kick off. With 53 minutes on the clock, Mário Maranhense commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Flamengo CIMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of San Fernando Eagles:s goal. Leonides Lidon walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Adelino Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Fabricio Nahia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabricio Nahia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Esteves in the 63rd minute of the match. When Iker Galtero fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Fernando Eagles's protests and gave Iker Galtero a yellow card for diving instead. Iker Galtero kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. San Fernando Eagles made a substitution. Wilfredo Chap replaced Atilano Goyo. The crowd rose to their feet as San Fernando Eagles's Iker Galtero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vítor Britto. That made the score 1-4 after 69 minutes of play. Fabricio Nahia came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo CIMZ's Adelino Esteves. But to his dismay, Adelino Esteves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Fabricio Nahia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robinho Silveira in the 78th minute of play. After 80 played minutes San Fernando Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Lidon. After 87 played minutes San Fernando Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Iker Galtero. In the 89th minute Adelino Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Nahia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Leonides Lidon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vítor Britto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Esteves in the 98th minute of play forced San Fernando Eagles's goalkeeper Fabricio Nahia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. San Fernando Eagles's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
