The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Fritz Berghmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 6th minute Fritz Berghmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Édouard Mendy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Édouard Mendy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Garro, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Fritz Berghmans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Édouard Mendy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Al-Fajuth's zone, Fritz Berghmans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Édouard Mendy came out of the goal and Fritz Berghmans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Édouard Mendy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fritz Berghmans in the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Al-Fajuth's Guilherme Vidal got a free kick in the 19th minute. Fritz Berghmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 21st minute Fritz Berghmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Édouard Mendy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Garro in the 24th minute of play forced Al-Fajuth's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Al-Fajuth's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fritz Berghmans in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Fritz Berghmans notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Al-Fajuth's Édouard Mendy. Édouard Mendy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guilherme Vidal hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Édouard Mendy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fritz Berghmans in the 32nd minute of play. Édouard Mendy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fritz Berghmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fritz Berghmans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Édouard Mendy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Al-Fajuth's Guilherme Vidal got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Al-Fajuth's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fritz Berghmans in the 43rd minute of play. Rene Sergi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Édouard Mendy having to interfere. Fritz Berghmans scored 0-3 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Édouard Mendy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseu Alagoano made a kick off. BEST FABIO F.C.'s Juninho de Sena quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cruz Adolskiy, made in the 54th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fritz Berghmans got free with Édouard Mendy in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 played minutes Al-Fajuth got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Toscano. 61 minutes into the game, Fritz Berghmans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Édouard Mendy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olivier Dubs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Alagoano in the 67th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as BEST FABIO F.C.'s Fritz Berghmans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Édouard Mendy. That made the score 0-6 after 70 minutes of play. BEST FABIO F.C. made a substitution. Igor Gulak replaced Alexandre Xande. A collision led to BEST FABIO F.C. getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Rodrigo Garro hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Eliseu Alagoano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olivier Dubs was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Fabrício Brunovskis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Süleyman Ziya might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Édouard Mendy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Süleyman Ziya ran back to his position shaking his head. 83 minutes into the match, Al-Fajuth's goal looked a bit too open when Süleyman Ziya came free, but Édouard Mendy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Süleyman Ziya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 88th play minutes Süleyman Ziya shot 0-8, a short shot which went by Édouard Mendy and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 96th minute, Süleyman Ziya left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BEST FABIO F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. The Al-Fajuth fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BEST FABIO F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
